Subtle Beauty
Subtle Beauty? Where is it?
This is not your typical "stop and smell the roses" post, but more of a "stop and smell everything because nature is beautiful" post. What I am not going to do is sit here and go on about how the world is moving too fast and that people give to much attention to there smartphones (that is for a different time). What I am going to do, is give examples on how you can find beauty in nature without having to search for it.

Earlier this month, I saw this wonderful sunset on my drive home from work. I had just worked a five hour shift and all I could think about was getting home. I got off around sunset and took a different route home than normal. While on my drive, I happened to notice how captivating the sunset was overlooking the surrounding area. A vibrant pink hue danced across the fading blue sky; truly a sight to see.
Today while walking to the library in between classes, I noticed a pile of leaves in a particular pattern. As I got closer to the pile, I realized it was not a pile at all, but a heart made out of fallen leaves. With all the stress going on due to finals coming up soon, someone was able to find light of the situation. This small gesture was able to give me the push I needed to go and finish my day with the right attitude. Thank you to this person for helping spread the much needed good vibes.

Finally, the last little bit of subtle beauty I saw this month was yet another amazing sunset. The time was roughly 5:30pm and I was excited to be heading home after being in class all day. While walking to my car, I noticed that the sun was setting, however the sky looked unusually pink. To my surprise, there was a beautiful sunset lighting up the sky directly in front of me. I quickly snapped a picture and soaked in this beautiful Sonoma sunset. Finding nature's beauty can be as simple as...well, stopping and smelling the roses.
